Connect Billabex to Claude
Add the remote Billabex MCP server to Claude, complete OAuth, and enable only the tools you need.
Updated
In short
Claude and Claude Desktop support remote MCP connectors on compatible plans. Add Billabex from connector settings with the URL supplied by Billabex, then complete OAuth. In a Team or Enterprise workspace, an owner must first authorize the organization connector before each member can connect their own access.
Expected result
Billabex appears in Claude connectors and a read-only test returns data from the authorized organization.
Before you start
- Use a Claude plan that supports remote connectors; administration rules differ by plan.
- Copy the official URL from Settings > Integrations in Billabex.
Procedure
- In Claude, open Settings > Connectors; on Team or Enterprise, an owner uses the organization connectors tab.
- Choose Add custom connector, name it Billabex, paste the remote MCP URL, and save.
- Select Connect, complete OAuth with your Billabex account, and review the requested permissions.
- In a conversation, open Search and tools, enable Billabex, and disable tools unrelated to the request.
- Test a simple read before authorizing or running any write action.
What Billabex does
Server configuration and personal authorization are separate. Claude can expose tools, prompts, and resources supplied by Billabex; it requests approval according to its settings and the capability being used.
If the result is not what you expected
- If Add custom connector is missing, check the plan and your workspace owner or admin rights.
- If the connector exists but cannot be used, select Connect and complete personal authorization.
- Revoke unused access from Claude settings or Billabex authorizations.
