# Edit the organization name and email domain

In short

General settings let you edit the organization name and email domain separately. The name identifies your Billabex workspace. The domain, entered without a full email address, is used to validate team members’ work addresses. Changing either value does not alter customer accounts or your agent’s own email address.

## Expected result

The new name or email domain is saved and visible in the organization’s general settings.

## Before you start

- Open the correct organization if you manage several workspaces.
- Confirm the legal or usual name to display.
- For the domain, prepare only the part after `@`, such as `company.com`.

## Procedure

1. Open **Settings**, then **General**.
2. Under **Organization information**, choose **Edit** next to the name.
3. Enter the new name and save it.
4. Choose **Edit** next to the email domain.
5. Enter the domain without `https://`, `www`, or a full email address, then save it.

## What Billabex does

The two values are independent. The domain must look like a valid domain name and is used to check team member email addresses. It is not used as the agent’s reply address.

## If the result is not what you expected

- Remove `@`, the protocol, and any path from the domain value.
- If a member invitation is rejected after the change, check that their address uses the declared domain.
- If you opened the wrong workspace, switch organizations before trying again.
