Manage tags

In short

Tags provide descriptive signals on accounts. Billabex supplies translated, immutable predefined tags, while the organization can create its own labels and colors. Assign or remove a tag from the relevant account. A tag does not pause collections: use the pause action when agent activity must actually stop.

Expected result

Accounts carry the right labels and no tag is mistaken for an automation rule.

Before you start

• Define a clear use for every new custom tag.
• Check whether a predefined tag already covers the need.

Procedure

1. Open Settings > Tags to review the available catalog.
2. Identify whether the intended tag is predefined or organization-specific.
3. When needed, create a custom tag with an unambiguous name and readable color.
4. Open the relevant accounts and assign or remove the tag.
5. Delete an unused custom tag after checking which accounts carry it.

What Billabex does

Predefined tags are global and protected from rename or deletion. Custom tags belong to one organization. Assigning either kind to an account has no automatic follow-up side effect.

If the result is not what you expected

• If a tag cannot be changed, verify whether it is predefined.
• To stop the agent, pause collections instead of adding a label.
• Avoid custom tags with different names for the same situation.
