Organization settings and first follow-up delay

Set organization information and the delay before the first collection action.

Updated

In short

Organization settings apply to all members and the agent. Check name, declared domain, and first-follow-up delay before changing it. Choose a value matching your policy: the update affects future scheduling but does not replace invoice due dates or account-specific blockers.

Expected result

The saved delay matches organization policy and future scheduling uses it.

Before you start

  • Agree on the intended delay with the collections owner.
  • Locate one unpaused account to observe future scheduling.

Procedure

  1. Open Settings > Organization and confirm you are editing the right workspace.
  2. Review general information before opening the first-follow-up setting.
  3. Enter the agreed delay in the displayed unit and save once.
  4. Reopen the setting to confirm the persisted value.
  5. On an eligible account, inspect the next schedule after recalculation.

What Billabex does

The delay is stored at organization level. The agent combines it with due dates, business days, and account context, so a pause or open task still blocks follow-up.

If the result is not what you expected

  • A change cannot move a communication that was already sent or is no longer eligible.
  • If the old value returns, refresh and check for a save error.
  • Compare accounts in equivalent situations before deciding the delay was ignored.
