# Export the invoice list to Excel

<section class="help-summary" aria-labelledby="in-short"><h2 id="in-short">In short</h2><p>The <strong>Export (N)</strong> button of the invoice list downloads an Excel file (.xlsx) that matches the list on screen: search, filters and sort, across every page. N gives the number of rows. Export is available for the whole organization and in an account’s invoices tab, up to 20,000 invoices.</p></section>

## Expected result

You get an Excel file ready to filter, with one row per invoice in your selection.

## Before you start

- Define the selection you need: period, status, account tags or a specific customer.
- Check the number shown on the button before exporting.

## Procedure

1. Open **Invoices**, or a customer account’s invoices tab.
2. Apply the search, filters and sort you need.
3. Click **Export (N)** on the filter row.
4. Open the downloaded file in Excel or another spreadsheet.

## What Billabex does

The file has one sheet with a frozen, filterable header, in French or English depending on your language. Its 16 columns cover the number, customer, SIREN, account tags, issue and due dates, current installment due date, status, days overdue, total amount, remaining amount, currency, payment method, source, source identifier and reminder exclusion. Amounts and dates are real numbers and dates. No total is calculated, because the list can mix several currencies.

Export is also available through the public API and the MCP server for your connected tools.

## If the result is not what you expected

- **Button disabled**: the selection exceeds 20,000 invoices. Narrow the filters and try again.
- **Button missing**: the list on screen is empty.
- **“Export failed, try again”**: run the export again; if the error persists, send the time and filters to support.
- **Invoices are missing**: check the search and filters still active, the file follows them.
