# Review and approve an email prepared by the agent

In short

When you ask the agent to write to the customer from a task, it prepares the email without sending it. The task shows an Email to review card with the recipients, subject, text and attachments. Nothing goes out until you click Send: you can also Edit the text or Discard the draft.

## Expected result

The email goes out only in the version you reviewed and approved, or it is discarded without sending anything.

## Before you start

- Open the task concerned: organization members also receive an “An email is waiting for your approval” email with a **Review the email** link.
- Check the account, the context of the request and the invoices quoted.

## Procedure

1. In the task, find the **Email to review** card.
2. Check the **To:** line, the subject, the text and each attachment.
3. To correct it, click **Edit**, adjust the text, then save. The new version still waits for your approval.
4. Click **Send** to approve sending this version, or **Discard** to delete the draft.
5. Check the **Email sent** or **Draft discarded** message in the task thread.

## What Billabex does

On send, Billabex checks the recipients and attachments again, then sends exactly the approved content, without regenerating it. The signature and formatting are added automatically. While the task is open, the account’s follow-ups remain held.

A free-text message in the thread never approves the email: a correction request updates the draft, which still needs approval, and a written confirmation points you back to the buttons. In the account’s scheduled communications, the draft carries the **Awaiting approval** badge. Canceling the task also deletes a draft still waiting.

## If the result is not what you expected

- **You wrote “ok, send it” and nothing went out**: this is intended. Use the card’s **Send** button.
- **A recipient or an attachment is no longer valid**: sending is refused. Edit the draft or ask the agent for a new version.
- **The card is gone**: the draft was sent or discarded. Check the task thread and the account’s communications.
