Reply to, resolve or cancel a task
Reply in the thread, let the agent process, and separate completion, snooze, and cancellation.
Updated
In short
Reply from the Billabex task, never its notification email. A user interaction normally sets **In progress** while the agent processes it. **Pending** snoozes the task and clears on the next message. **Closed** means the workflow finished; **Canceled** means the request no longer applies and is unavailable for some types.
Expected result
Your reply appears in the thread and the task reaches the state matching actual processing.
Before you start
- Read the thread from top to bottom and confirm the account.
- Prepare only the information requested in the latest interaction.
Procedure
- Open a task marked User action required or Pending.
- Enter text or use the proposed structured response.
- Submit once and wait for the message to appear in the timeline.
- Use snooze when a decision is missing, or cancel when the request is obsolete and allows it.
- Check the final Closed or Canceled milestone and any account resumption.
What Billabex does
User interaction is accepted only when input is expected or the task is pending. Creation, pending, and terminal milestones frame messages to preserve a full timeline.
If the result is not what you expected
- A Need contacts task rejects cancellation by design.
- When a reply is visible, do not resend while status updates.
- A closed task cannot receive more interactions; open the account for a new issue.
