In short

Sign-in issues most often come from using an address different from the invited one, an unverified email, a forgotten password, or a session owned by another user. Return to the invitation or sign-in page, use the exact address, and request a reset when needed. Never share your password.

## Expected result

You open a session as the invited user and recover the organizations that user may access.

## Before you start

- Keep access to the mailbox for the affected account.
- Close other Billabex sessions before testing an invitation link.

## Procedure

1. Check the address shown on sign-in against the invitation.
2. If the email is unverified, use the latest verification message.
3. Choose **Forgot password**, then open only the newest link received.
4. Set a new password and sign in again from the same window.
5. If the wrong organization opens, sign out and restart the link with the intended user.

## What Billabex does

Billabex protects invitation and reset links with limited tokens. It also checks that the signed-in user matches the expected identity before following a destination into an organization.

## If the result is not what you expected

- An older reset link can become invalid as soon as a newer one is issued.
- If emails do not arrive, check spam before requesting one new send.
- Support can inspect an account from its address but will never ask for its password or token.
