Billabex's Story:
Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Your Cash Flow

The Story Starts at Beekast

In 2015, Yassine Chabli and Quentin Georget founded Beekast, a SaaS solution designed to revolutionize meetings and training. The adventure was beautiful: the company grew from €1,000 in initial capital to over one million euros in ARR in 2017, raised €5 million in 2019, and had 1,300 corporate clients worldwide before being acquired by saas.group in 2023.

But during all those years of growth, a persistent problem ate away at the cash flow: payment delays. Small accounts, large accounts, no matter the size of the client, invoices dragged on. The team spent a considerable amount of time following up, negotiating, and tracking. A permanent mental burden that diverted energy from the essential: growing the business.

Meeting Gilles

In 2022, Quentin joined PayFit as Director of Technology Solutions. That's where he met Gilles Sauvageot-Imbert, a product manager passionate about optimizing business processes. For nearly two years, they collaborated closely and shared the same observations: all SMEs suffer from the same evil—unpaid invoices and late payments that threaten their cash flow, sometimes even their survival.

Billabex collaboration

February 2024: The Birth of Billabex

Strengthened by their experience at Beekast and PayFit and their conviction that artificial intelligence can radically transform business management, they decided to tackle the problem head-on. In February 2024, they co-founded Billabex. The idea was simple but ambitious: create an AI agent that intelligently automates invoice reminders, while preserving the customer relationship.

The Billabex Team

Where traditional solutions fail, Billabex brings a revolutionary approach. The AI agent doesn't follow fixed rules: it learns, adapts, personalizes each reminder, analyzes payment behaviors, and communicates empathetically across all channels (email, paper mail). As a result, companies collect their invoices faster without spending time or energy.

A 100% Remote Team

Billabex operates in fully remote mode: Yassine evangelizes the market from Paris, Quentin develops the platform from Nantes, and Gilles builds the product with customers from Lyon. This geographic organization reflects our conviction that modern work no longer needs to be constrained by location.

However, we do not neglect the importance of the human link. Every three months, the team meets in Paris for a team-building seminar. These meeting moments allow for strengthening cohesion, aligning the strategic vision, and sharing success as well as challenges in a collective dynamic essential to our performance.
